Lottie Bloxham

Stem cell research bill

Mr. Rohler

12-18-09

Preamble: Stem cell research is using stem cells to to replace diesed or dead cells. There are three ways to get stem cells. First is from the umbilical cord when the baby is born and save it for later use if it is ever needed. With this way anyone closely related to the baby would be able to try and use these stem cells if needed. Second you can take them from adult bone marrow. This can be painful for the person giving cells and also takes awhile to get out. Third is taking the cells from an embryo.
